Tang 1-11 Milltownpass

Tang played Milltownpass on Friday evening in Moate with a victory vital to Tang's requirements.

Tang started brightly kicking the first two points but that was as good as it got with Milltownpass taking a strangle hold at midfield and scoring five pts without reply. Milltownpass were unlucky not to score a goal when John Rock cleared off the line. Tang replied with three pts to level the match at the interval.

The interval certainly done the trick as Tang reeled three pts in as many mins and but for some wayward shooting could have stretched their lead further. However Milltownpass came back and reduced the lead to a pt before Sean Egan put Josh Flanagan through on goal and he hit a beauty into the top corner of the net. Tang added another pt to lead 1-9 to 0-7. Once again despite having a lot of possession, Tang failed to close out the match and Milltownpass rallied and reduced the lead to a goal. A long ball found Milltownpass's forward with only the keeper to beat but somehow Kieran Duncan managed to get back and make a vital block to clear his lines and held on for a very important two pts.Tang now look forward to the last round against Ballynacargy in a weeks time.
