Tang 3-05 Mount Temple 3-10
Tang got the first score of the match with a well taken free kick from the captain Oisin Ryan. Mount Temple levelled the scoring within seconds from good play.
Another point from Oisin Ryan helped Tang take the lead but Mount Temple fought back and kept racking up the points until Tang conceded a well placed shot from the Mount Temple full forward. The Half Time Score was 1-10 to 0-02 to Mount Temple.
Tang came out after the half-time break determined to salvage a win over Mount Temple and scored two goals in succession - a long range shot from Richard Laffan and another goal from a well placed strike from David Rushe.
Despite the Tang keeper’s best efforts at defending his goal, he was unable to stop the powerful shots from Mount Temple. Tang fought back with a great goal from Shane Hanley and an accurately struck point from the full forward Patrick Conlon. The Tang keeper showed a great display of bravery and skill, hiding the pressure he was under and saving most of Mount Temple’s bullet-like shots.
After the full time whistle, there was heartbreak among the Tang team but the captain Oisin Ryan bravely made his way up to the podium and delivered his speech.
