Div 1 Tang play Mullingar Shamrocks next Saturday at 6pm in Tang.

Tang 3-13 Maryland 4-10

Tang and Maryland played out an enjoyable hours football in this Div6 clash. Tang lead early on but Maryland finished the half strongly to lead 2-7 to 1-7 at half time.

The second half was an entertaining half with the match ebbing and flowing. Just when Tang had done enough with two second half goals, Maryland were not to be outdone and bagged an equalising goal in the last minute.

Well done to Damien Gavin's Westmeath U-20's tonight who play Wicklow away at 8pm in Round 1 of the Leinster Championship. Taking part from Tang are Jack Keenan, Ronan & Shane Hanley and Ciaran Clear. Great Stuff Lads!

Westmeath play Dublin on this Thursday April 14^th in Parnell Park at 7.30pm.

Membership for 2021 is now due before March 31st: € 70 for Family, €40 for adults, €30 for OAP, €20 Walkers, €20 for students and €10 for students, minors and underage.. Payments can be made to club registrar Michael Bannon or membership can be paid through Tang Gaa Club app Clubforce.

There will be a registration evening on this Wednesday March 16^th at Tang pitch from 7.30pm to 8.30pm.

Tang 1-6 Kinnegad 1-11

Tang played Kinnegad on Friday Last and opened the match with a goal from Darragh Burke. The first half was low scoring with Tang holding a slender lead 1-3 to 0-5pts. Kinnegad were much the better side on the resumption and when they scored their goal to go four up, they never looked like losing.

Tang 2-5 Milltown 0-5

Tang played Milltown on St Patricks day in Tang. On a cool, blustery day , the match was nip and tuck with very little between the sides. The match was level at 3pts apiece before John Rock started a superb move and finished it coolly palming the ball to the net after a neat pass from John Flanagan. In the second half, Milltown tried hard to reduce the leeway but when Darragh Burke finished to the net for Tang’s second goal after good work from Martin Rock, the victory was secure. Westmeath u-20s

A Big Congrats to Local Lads Jack Keenan, Ciaran Clear and Ronan & Shane Hanley who were part of the victorious Westmeath u-20 team who emerged winners over Sligo in the Philly McGuinness Cup Final at the Connacht Gaa Centre yesterday. Well done lads, keep up the good work!
