TANG 0-11 TUBBERCLAIR 1-8

Tang faced Tubberclair last Saturday evening in Cusack Park in the Intermediate Championship Semi-Final.

Tubberclair started the brighter opening the scoring with a goal and a point. Tubberclair continued their dominance and with twenty minutes gone they were 1-5 to no score ahead. Tang eventually started getting into the game and put three points on the board through Aidan Burke, Conor Marlow and Martin Rock to trail by five points at half time.

Tubberclair opened the scoring in the second half before Tang finally got a foothold in the game. A well taken point by Martin Rock was followed up by two quickfire scores though Martin again and Sean Egan to cut the deficit to just three. Tang had their tails up and an Aidan Burke free and a an excellent Fergus Farrell point left the minimum between the sides. Tang were dominating the game now with Robert English and Kieran Duncan to the fore. Another Tang attack saw Aidan Burke notch a point with his left foot and bring the sides level. Tubberclair managed to stem the tide and answered with two points of their own which looked to have put the game beyon Tangs reach. However Tang managed to claw their way back with Aidan Burke knocking over another free before John Rock got forward to level matters with an excellent point. Neither side could find a winner in the dying minutes and the game ended with a final score of 1-8 to 11 points.
