TANG 2-11 MARYLAND 1-7

Tang played hosts to neighbours Maryland on Tuesday evening last in an important league match.

Maryland started brightly kicking three pts before tang found a route through the Maryland defence with Josh Flanagan finishing superbly to the net. However Tang were soon punished when a couple of blunders in defence led to a goal for Maryland. This appeared to spur Tang on and three pts from Aidan Burke leveled the match. Tang were now on top and a terrific pt from Connor Marlowe from a 45 and then a shot from Aidan Burke came back off the crossbar and the ever alert Martin Rock finished neatly under the diving Thomas Moran in goal. The half time score was

Tang 2-4 to Maryland 1-3.

Tang playing into the breeze added two quick pts and stretched their lead to six pts, further pts from Martin Rock, William Flanagan, Eamon Carey and Aidan Burke closed out the game. Tang's defence were well on top with Alan Murray, John Rock and Kieran Duncan leading the way. This win almost certainly secures Division One status.
